A new energy

For some, big city life can wear you down. If so, Latrobe City might be just the place to provide the boost in energy you need.

The only regional city in eastern Victoria, Latrobe City consists of many small townships and the main towns of Moe, Morwell and Traralgon. The area is famous for having one of the largest brown coal reserves in the world, and being the epicentre of Victoria’s electricity industry. But it’s also recognised for its large forestry industry, servicing Australia’s biggest pulp and paper mill. Food processing, engineering, education, retail and aviation also figure prominently.

Diverse lifestyle options include urban living, rural townships, farming, bush settings, and well-supported commercial and business communities, with great schools and hospitals in a connected, diverse community.

It’s also worth getting acquainted with the Victorian Government’s Latrobe GovHub initiative, which is in the process of creating a multi-million dollar business precinct in Morwell to fully enhance its economic prospects.

So don’t let the big city get to you. A whole new city of energy and possibility is waiting to be discovered in Latrobe City.

One of the biggest concerns of anyone considering a move to regional Victoria is that of employment. Will there be the type of employment you’re after, and will there be enough of it? You’re definitely not alone in asking these questions.
Finding and then moving into a new home is always an exciting process. Sure, it has its headaches along the way, but there’s nothing quite like the thrill of that first night in a new house. And when the new house happens to be in a whole new region, the thrill only intensifies.
You may not be aware that regional Victoria is home to some of the best schools in the state. True, you won’t find the concentration of options that you have in Melbourne, but you’ll still find plenty of quality choice across all levels of schooling.
